Custom above knee prosthesis by Steps Creators Dubai — transfemoral prosthetic leg

Have You Lost a Leg Above the Knee?

Losing a limb is one of life’s most challenging experiences. Whether your amputation was caused by a traumatic accident, diabetes complications, peripheral vascular disease, cancer, or a congenital condition, adjusting to life without your leg can feel overwhelming. Simple tasks like standing up, walking across a room, or playing with your children may suddenly seem difficult or impossible.

You may be experiencing common struggles such as:

Difficulty balancing — relying on crutches or a wheelchair for basic movement
Stump pain or phantom limb sensations — feeling pain or tingling in the missing leg
Back and hip pain — caused by uneven posture and compensatory movement patterns
Loss of independence — needing help with everyday activities you used to do on your own
Emotional frustration — feeling limited in your ability to work, exercise, or enjoy life fully
Gait abnormalities — uneven or unnatural walking patterns that cause fatigue
Difficulty standing for long periods — impacting work and social activities

Many above-knee amputees in Dubai and across the UAE face these challenges every day — and it’s completely normal to feel this way. The good news is that modern prosthetic technology has come a long way. With the right above-knee prosthesis, many amputees are able to walk again, return to work, enjoy sports, and live full, active lives. The key is finding a prosthetic leg that is custom-made for your body, your lifestyle, and your goals.

How the Above Knee Prosthesis Can Help You

The Above Knee Prosthesis (Transfemoral Prosthesis) from Steps Creators is a complete artificial limb system designed to replace your missing leg from above the knee joint down to the foot. It is engineered to restore your ability to walk, stand, sit, and move through daily life with greater confidence and independence.

Here’s how each component works together to support your mobility:

🦿 Custom Socket

Molded precisely to your residual limb using advanced casting or 3D scanning, ensuring a secure, comfortable fit that distributes your body weight evenly and prevents pressure sores.

🔄 Prosthetic Knee Joint

Available in mechanical, hydraulic, or microprocessor-controlled options, designed to mimic natural knee movement for smooth, stable walking on flat ground, stairs, and slopes.

🦶 Dynamic-Response Foot

Absorbs shock with every step and returns energy during push-off, helping you walk with a more natural gait and reducing fatigue throughout the day.

⚖️ Lightweight Pylon

A strong yet light carbon fiber or titanium connector that supports your body while keeping the prosthesis easy to wear comfortably all day long.

The prosthesis also includes a skin-friendly silicone liner that protects your stump from friction and irritation, plus an optional cosmetic cover shaped and colored to match your natural skin tone. When combined with professional fitting and rehabilitation, this prosthesis is designed to help you regain mobility, reduce compensatory pain, and move with confidence again. Many patients in Dubai notice significant improvements in their walking ability within weeks of consistent use.

Why the Above Knee Prosthesis from Steps Creators Is the Best Choice

Not all prosthetic legs are the same. The Above Knee Prosthesis from Steps Creators stands apart because of its precision engineering, premium materials, and patient-centered design. Here’s what makes it the best choice:

100% Custom-Fabricated: Every prosthesis is individually made from a precise mold or 3D scan of your residual limb — never off-the-shelf. This ensures a comfortable, secure socket fit tailored to your unique anatomy.
Medical-Grade Materials: We use carbon fiber, titanium, aircraft-grade aluminum, and medical silicone — the same materials trusted by leading prosthetic centers worldwide. The result is a prosthesis that is strong, durable, and remarkably lightweight.
Advanced Knee Technology: Choose from mechanical, hydraulic, or microprocessor-controlled knee joints depending on your activity level and lifestyle needs. Our clinical team will recommend the best option for you.
Dynamic Energy-Return Feet: Our prosthetic feet are designed to store and release energy during walking, reducing fatigue and helping you maintain a natural stride.
Skin-Safe Liner System: The soft silicone gel liner cushions your residual limb, minimizes friction, and may help prevent skin breakdown even during all-day wear.
Realistic Cosmetic Options: Optional silicone covers can be custom-matched to your skin tone for a natural appearance that may help boost your confidence.
Built for Dubai’s Active Lifestyle: Lightweight, heat-friendly materials and waterproof options make this prosthesis suitable for the UAE’s warm climate and outdoor activities.
